Meet Stripey – A Beautiful Soul in Need of Love and Healing
Stripey is a sweet, two-year-old girl who has come into our care after experiencing a difficult past marked by domestic violence. Despite everything she’s been through, she is a gentle and loving little cat, small in size but big in spirit.
When Stripey arrived with us, we were devastated to discover that her previous owner had shaved her body and cut her whiskers—cruel and unnecessary acts of harm that have left her looking a bit of a "hot mess." We cannot understand why someone would do this; it’s heart-wrenching and absolutely not okay.
She was understandably petrified at first, trembling and hiding under the sofa. But with patience, love, and gentle reassurance, Stripey is slowly beginning to come out of her shell. She is incredibly affectionate and adores fuss, love, and head rubs. However, loud noises still scare her, and she quickly retreats to her hiding spot, which shows her need for a calm and understanding environment.
Stripey has clearly suffered trauma in her previous home, and she is still healing emotionally. We are desperate to find her a loving, patient home where she can continue to recover and learn that love and kindness are the way forward.
This sweet girl deserves a family who will show her that love, patience, and gentle care can help her heal. Someone who understands that with time and affection, her wounds will mend—and her little whiskers will grow back.
If you think you can provide Stripey with the loving home she needs, please get in touch. She’s ready to love and be loved, and with your compassion, she will blossom into the happy cat she was meant to be.

With kittens born recently at a shelter, in foster, or who are very young, we can tell their age within a few weeks, as they develop so rapidly. Sometimes we get adult cats whose previous owners know their age and that's great...but it's not the norm.
99% of the time, we have zero information about a cat, and their age can only be a "Best Guess" based on their condition, overall appearance, and the state of their teeth. We completely understand that you want this information, and since you will need a date of birth for insurance, so we will do our best. But it is generally only going to be an educated guess from our vets.
Could you be my forever human?
Thank you so much for reading my profile.
If you think you might be able to offer me my forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Catitude Rescue team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Lots of love and head rubs,
x
