My story (so far...)
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? It's me! 4 year old Mabel. My foster mum thinks that anyone who says cats don't show affection hasn't met me yet. And she's right! My favourite thing to do is sit at the landing window and watch for when you get home. When you do, I'll hop down and run to the front door to let you know how happy I am to see you. I really love my people! I'm ever such a sweet, affectionate girl and I love to have a stroke (or twenty), even showing off my tummy when I'm having a brush. The only time I'm a little bit spicy is when I'm having a manicure - a girl's got to have a line somewhere. I'll let you do it, but as far as I'm concerned it's wasted cuddle time.
I love playtime too - chasing small toys, lure toys, and (the ultimate favourite) the laser pen. In fact, if I know where you've put it, I will pester you for more. There is no such thing as too much laser pen. My other favourite hobby is to have a nap on the stairs. I find that halfway up gives me the best vantage point for always knowing where you are so that I can make sure there's no trip hazards in your way. I'm quite a petite girl with beautiful tortoiseshell markings and enormous kitten eyes - all the better for asking for more fuss. And they're quite handy for my day job: queen spider catcher! I'm ready and prepared for any task at hand and become transfixed by a printer churning out paper. I think it's fair to call it a love/hate relationship though as I'm never sure whether I'm terrified or whether it's a fantastic game that's just waiting to be figured out. I'm a pretty confident and curious girly so I'm not afraid to keep on watching until I've made my mind up.
On to the most important thing you should know about me: I ADORE food. Honestly, for such a petite cat I really love to eat. When you're getting my breakfast or dinner ready, I'm first to the table, purring, cuddling, and just generally making a nuisance of myself in my absolute excitement and appreciation of the Head Chef Human. You'll probably roll your eyes but you'll never get bored of my enthusiasm. I also have developed my own life hack method of eating. I believe it's best to take an ENORMOUS mouthful from my bowl, and then drop it on the floor so that I can inspect each biscuit and eat it delicately one piece at a time. I'd suggest that my new family might want to put a cat dinner mat down for me to make it easier to clean up my crumbs. I promise I'm worth it.
I'm looking for a home after my last human went on holiday and didn't come back for me. Maybe she got distracted by a laser pen... I'm hoping to find a new home that will always come back so that I can shower my new humans with ALL. THE. LOVE. Seriously, cuddles are not optional. I can't wait to meet you!
Love, your new BFF, Mabel xxxxx

With kittens born recently at a shelter, in foster, or who are very young, we can tell their age within a few weeks, as they develop so rapidly. Sometimes we get adult cats whose previous owners know their age and that's great...but it's not the norm.
99% of the time, we have zero information about a cat, and their age can only be a "Best Guess" based on their condition, overall appearance, and the state of their teeth. We completely understand that you want this information, and since you will need a date of birth for insurance, so we will do our best. But it is generally only going to be an educated guess from our vets.
Could you be my forever human?
Thank you so much for reading my profile.
If you think you might be able to offer me my forever home, please fill out the adoption form and one of the Catitude Rescue team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Lots of love and nose boops,
x
